Doctor Shortage in Japan

Health has been a growing issue and from all indications, the supply of doctors we have today is put into question. And while most of the world is worried that nurses are lacking, the actual medical practitioners called doctors are declining as well.
We toil like workhorses,” said Teishi Kajiya, the hospital’s vice director and a cardiologist, taking some time for an interview before heading to the operation room.
“It’s become the norm for doctors to work 36 hours straight, which is emotionally and physically exhausting. We never know when one of us might collapse,” he said, looking weary despite his tidy coat.

A lot of this has to do with the fact that some certified doctors have abandoned their profession to become nurses. Why? Well for one, the need is there and the opportunity to go elsewhere is needed. So can we blame them?
